What is CrossFit for you?

Part of my normal daily life. The moment of the day when I’m ‘relaxing’, so to say 😀

 

Tell us how it started, what attracted you?

Before I started with CrossFit, I was going to a fitness gym at the office where I was working by that time. One day I decided it was time for a change, and I switched my job. As a consequence, two, three years ago, I changed the sport. My friends were doing CrossFit. I found it interesting, and because I didn’t want to exclude movement from my daily life, I decided to try. I first trained twice a week, then three times, then four, and now I almost never miss a training ?

 

What’s keeping you in?

As a whole, I like the sport. The competitive nature of CrossFit workouts energizes me. It stimulates me to explore the boundaries of my body and to expand them more and more … with each subsequent training. The feeling is incredible!

I also like the people who come to the gym. We have built a friendly environment, we are supporting and encouraging each other. I also like the diversity of the workouts. Every day the workout is different, you just cannot get fed up or bored.

What would you say to everyone who considers trying CrossFit?

Try it! There is nothing to lose, you can only benefit! Especially , when you are surrounded by competent coaches and people, who know the sport. They can really help you to feel good in your own body.

 

You mentioned the CrossFit coaches, what have you learned from your coach?

I’ve learned almost everything about CrossFit from Niki. I like it that he manages to balance the workouts very well, thereby avoiding overload. Serious attention is paid to warm ups, proper breathing during workouts and stretching afterwards. Niki has been professionally engaged in sports and this helps him to have a proper vision for even small, at first glance, details. Last but not least, I can say that, above all, Nikki is a great person and a friend. He is able to inspire people and make sure that, regardless of how difficult a training is, it would be carried out eagerly. He makes people believe in themselves and see for themselves what they’re capable of!

 

What is your favorite workout?

I have no favorite workout, although I like the gymnastic exercises the most. They just fit me better than weightlifting exercises, for example. The good thing about this sport is that it has everything and it gives you the opportunity to improve in different directions.
